Historic Restoration

This original McKim, Mead and White design is now masterfully maintained thanks to an enormous historic restoration effort throughout the building. Custom and handcrafted detailing such as Dutch doors, ornate stairway designs, and raised paneling were all preserved. Throughout the process of restoring this structure to it’s original splendor, the building was also preserved to it’s original function. Like many of Newport’s historic buildings, this home fell victim to assignment as a condominium. Our efforts aided in it’s transition back to a single family home, and it’s original intention.
